Our children are growing up, so we get to enjoy our favourite type of camping now, getting back to nature with our rucksacks whilst trekking and discovering the UK's remote spots. We want to share others and our experiences of back to basics camping, being more intimate with nature, enjoying some solitude.
Food is also important both before and after a long day, there are so many options available on the market now, here are some of the things we use when camping with the family, when backpacking you need to keep both size and weight down and they're campers that don't wish to use electric. We also backpack so there is also a section for non electric cooking and backpacking cooking.

I love the saying that there is no bad weather just bad clothing, I've found this to be true! Always have a waterproof with you also, sunny days on a mountain can soon turn wet. Footwear is also very important there are a vast amount available now for all activities and for all shape and sizes of foot.
