Here is our section on Wild Camping and Backcountry, we are by no means experts, it’s something we have taken up since our children have grown, we already enjoy climbing, hill walking and hiking and it’s nice to combine the two and be able to take in the sites with some photography and camp in remote peaceful places.

The back to basics nature of Wild Camping is a release from day to day life, we find it very relaxing and stress free, travelling around the country with your home on your back is exhilarating.

Cooking

There are many systems available for using whilst travelling light in remote places, we have tested a few now in the field. One pot systems that boil water rapidly these are great for a quick hot drink and warm through heat in a bag meals. Systems that are designed for cooking more tradition meals with controllable heat output but still lightweight.
