Let’s start from the position that the Campingaz Attitude 2go CV table top BBQ is a) a little overpriced, b) a little heavy and c) not really at home on the campsite.
I’m not trying to put you off it, in fact I am going to do the opposite. I love this BBQ and am confident that by the end of this article, I will have proven that none of the above statements are true.
INTRODUCTION -
First off, let me give you a quick introduction to the Attitude2go CV. As mentioned, it’s a table top BBQ which is powered by Campingaz CV470 gas canisters. It’s a very good looking and compact unit that we’ve taken to many campsites this season and cooked up lots of very tasty and healthy grub.
We’ve even used it at home in the garden, and can see ourselves using it a lot more in the future too. To be honest, there isn’t really anything else like this on the market, not with these good looks, robust build quality and ease of use (including cleaning).
EFFORTLESS –
Not only is this a very good looking piece of kit, it’s also very easy to use. It’s ready to go as soon as you’ve clicked the gas cartridge in the regulator and turned it on.
There’s a large chunky dial on the side that not only makes for easy use, but also adds to the overall classy aesthetics of the Attitude2go BBQ. It has it’s own piezo ignition, so no need to scramble for the matches or lighter. Just twist the dial, click the ignition and you are away watching the temperature rise up on that hood mounted thermometer
There’s a basket around the rear of the BBQ for safely and easy storing the CV cartridges, and when it is not in use, you can quickly unclip it and keep it under the hood.

PRICELESS -
At the time of writing this review, you can pick up the Campingaz Attitude 2GO CV for between £160-£200. Now that may seem a lot for a little table top BBQ, but when you factor in that you’ll probably be using it a hell of a lot more than you’d have planned, both on the campsite and in the back garden, you start to realise just how good this thing is.
Setting aside the eye-catching good looks, there is the build quality to consider. Our Attitude 2GO has travelled all over the country with us, been packed/unpacked so many times and it’s in the same condition as when we first took it out of the box. We even used it to cater for the masses at our charity camping weekend too!
TentLife isn’t here to tell you that stuff is good when it isn’t. We’re here to help you invest your hard earned cash in gear that brings you pleasure from the outdoors. Having used it throughout the summer, we can definitely vouch for the built quality of this BBQ and are confident that if you invest in one of these, you won’t be replacing it any time soon, it won’t look battered and there won’t be bits dropping of it.
WEIGHTLESS -
Well not quite, as you’d expect of any well built piece of equipment, that build quality is communicated through it’s weight. This is NOT a flimsy bit of cooking equipment (hence why it isn’t dropping to pieces any time soon), but it also doesn’t weight half a ton either. Afterall it’s heat retaining hood is made from cast aluminium and not cast iron, and when it is in position, you won’t be knocking it over.
There’s very comfortable and sizeable cut out handles in the legs on each side, so the unit is really easy to pick up and move around. The size and compact shape of the Attitude 2GO CV make it a breeze to manoeuvre, pack and unpack.
HOMELESS -
Suggesting that the Campingaz Attitude 2GO CV isn’t at home on the campsite as much as in your back garden is like suggesting that a Hollywood super hero can’t be stunningly attractive but also be able to kick-ass all day long.
It does both, and it does both very well. Granted it definitely provides a little visual glamp to your camping setup, and the fact that it does look a little ‘too pretty’ just makes you love it all the more, especially when it delivers on the food front constantly.

FOOD -
Succulent burgers, classic kebabs, topped and toasted pittas, fried mushrooms to hand-made pizzas, the Attitude 2 GO can do so much more, the only limits are your imagination. Just check out some of the photos, but don’t blame us if they leave your mouth watering.
All this cooking didn’t leave big dent in our wallets either. We have been very impressed with the gas consumption of this table top BBQ. At full blast, the Attitude 2go consumes 175g/h (175 grammes per hour). The CV470 cartridges hold 450g of gas, so are going to last almost 3 hours, and that’s on full power. We’ve cooked on it lots, and haven’t had it run out of gas or consume massive amounts either.
It’s such a ‘great grill’ - The cast iron cooking surface provides even heat distribution, with no cold or hotspots, making for trouble free cooking and an expert of anyone.
Food is cooked very healthily as any excess fat/oil falls through the 2 piece cast iron grill and down into the front mounted drip tray. Everything under the grill is stainless steel, including the burners, which makes for very easy cleaning and the drip tray is dishwasher safe too.
We’ve had no problems using this BBQ on any of our camping table tops or benches, whether wooden or plastic, we didn’t experience the underside of the unit heating up or giving off any heat that was going to cause any damage or be a safety issue.
CONCLUSION -
What the Attitude2GO is lacking is some form of carry bag, that’s our only criticism. You never know, the lovely people at Campingaz might be reading this and decide to make one. There is a waterproof cover available for it, which would be handy on the campsite as well as on the patio.
In all honesty, I love the fact that I can take a mini gas powered BBQ on camping trips with us, and it is going to be coming on many more trips too as well as being used for entertaining in the back garden
If we haven’t convinced you that the Campingaz Attitude 2go CV is worth it’s price tag, very well built, lasting a very long time and oh-so-suited to the campsite, why not just stick it on your Birthday or Christmas prezzie list – You will be very happy.
